“俄亥俄礼赞”

大学的官方校歌为Carmen Ohio，即《俄亥俄礼赞》。这首校歌写于1902年。那年俄亥俄州立大学七叶树队在比赛中被宿敌密歇根大学狼獾队以84:0的比分屠杀，看完比赛之后，一位伤心的校友写下了这首表达对母校的爱以及祝愿母校快速成长将来报一箭之仇的歌。

Oh! Come and sing Ohio‘s praise,[哦，一起来唱这首俄亥俄的赞歌]

The song to Alma Mater raise;[这首祝福母校崛起的歌]

While our hearts rebounding thrill,[虽然我们的心还在惊惶中颤抖]

“冲过赛场”

除了校歌以外，美国各大学都还有各自的战歌（Fight Song），主要是用于给学校的球队助威。在以十大联盟、太平洋十二校联盟、东南联盟、大十二联盟和大西洋海岸联盟各校为代表的重视体育文化的学校，战歌甚至比校歌还有名。很多学生到了毕业之前也不会唱校歌，但是战歌的旋律都会牢记在心。俄亥俄州立大学的官方战歌为这首Across the Field，即《冲过赛场》。

“七叶树战斗号角”

俄亥俄州立大学的另一首战歌为Buckeye Battle Cry，即《七叶树战斗号角》。这首歌是毕业于该校的著名的演员弗兰克·克鲁米特的作品，在1917年写成，首次亮相是在1922年俄亥俄体育场建成之后。至今，每场比赛之前，军乐队都会表演这首歌曲。
